Did you know there is only one "registration" in the pool table & billiard service / retail industry? The American Billiard Installers Association is the only entity that administers the quality standards and craftsmanship for service and retail companies in the pool table business.

The ABIA is a professional trade organization representing small pool table companies and individuals working in the pool and billiard table service industry. The main goal of the organization is setting the standards of quality and professionalism by workers in the pool table industry and to promote the highest quality service workers and retail pool table sales locations in America.

The American Billiard Installers Association administers and oversees the standards of members quality and commitment to their businesses and customers. Strict guidelines and quality checks of ABIA members business stability, customer satisfaction and craftsmanship quality standards are verified by applying members and for companies who meet the high standards for membership with the ABIA they are awarded with the industry standard official ABIA recognition as a top level company in our industry.

The ABIA permits acceptance of membership to "top level" individuals and companies within the pool table industry who possess the ability and professionalism to meet the standards that the ABIA has set forth and oversees in the industry.

The American Billiard Installers Association is a group of pool table companies, movers and stores that offer the highest level of service and quality work in the country. The organization estimates that nationwide, less than 30% of pool table companies and movers operate with proper business registration, insurance and possess the proper experience. The ABIA is an organization that requires it's members to keep current on all business licensing and insurance requirements.

Furthermore the ABIA requires any company or installer that wishes to become part of the ABIA to submit complete references from customers for work personally done. Use of registered ABIA members will ensure your job is completed to the highest standards in the industry by companies with the highest work ethic and customer service standards.

Membership UPDATED

Membership in the ABIA is limited to companies / stores / installers who can display:

  • Current business registration and or licensing (city or state)
  • Current business insurance
  • Submission of customer recommendations
  • Submission of work competency and quality
  • Display characteristics of solid business operations
  • Ability to produce yearly dues
